I love glass! Its interplay with light, texture; its transparent and opaque qualities excite me. I am endlessly fascinated with layering colors and seeing the unexpected surprises. The environments for which I am designing inspire me. I see the unique context of each project as a canvas for bringing beauty into a space. Dreams and visions further enliven my fused glass artwork. My specialty is designing custom installations that are infused with spirit.

Over twenty years ago I saw a piece of fused glass, and it sparked a series of dreams that I couldn't shake...dreams of colors flowing into each other...dreams of the layers of transparencies and textures of glass. Shortly thereafter, I established a studio to create custom glasswork.

Continuing to work at other jobs, I created many pieces over the next twenty years; dishes and vases, tiles and bowls. My focus has always been on functional beauty. Now, working with Architects, Designers and Builders, I've found the place where glass really 'fits' for my clients and myself.

Architectural fused glass is an opportunity to bring my dreams of glass into a home or business and make the spaces be a work of art.

Whenever I work with glass I am reminded that the unexpected can happen. I invite you to participate with me in creating an unexpectedly beautiful piece of fused glass for your life!"

This is a picture of my kiln that was custom -built for me a couple of years ago. It has almost 4' x 6' working area inside, and I can work up to 12" deep as well. The top raises and lowers on a gantry system which will eventually be motorized (as I get older!), but now it's hand-cranked. The base rolls out on rails into the room so I can work right on the kiln bed to build large pieces. That way, I don't have to lift large, unfired panels that have delicate design work.

In addition to this kiln, I also have a 20" square Evenheat kiln and a 24" octagonal Skutt kiln. I use them for smaller projects that don't require the large space.
